5★★★★★ - "My experience with Alex McMillan & Saguaro Valley Painting was very positive. They did our Shea Home at Trilogy Verde River. The developer originally put Flat Paint on exterior, which was only 5 years ago when the home was delivered to us new. Alex suggested we go with an Exterior Satin/Eggshell for the repaint instead of Flat. What a difference the Satin makes! We went with the a slightly upgraded Sherwin Williams Exterior 'Super Paint' in Satin/Eggshell & it was worth every $ of the amount we invested. The finish is 'rich-looking' & has a lovely sheen that helps resist the fading you get from the UV rays of our powerful Arizona sun! The before & after tells a story - see attached photos of our optional golf cart garage! One more thing, Alex's painter Francisco & his assistant are very efficient, neat & professional. The job includes an exterior power wash to remove accumulated dirt & dust. And Francisco & his helper also did an excellent job in 'prepping' (masking-off windows, doors & gutters). In our previous house in Troon our exterior paint faded badly after a few years & we suspected the paint had been 'watered-down' to save on the job. Saguaro Valley Painting does NOT dilute the paint! You get on the walls of your house only the contents of the paint buckets as delivered by the paint manufacturer! And I initially checked to make sure they were doing it as promised & that is how it was done. In summary, I strongly recommend Alex McMillan & his crew for the painting of your home. We even hired them to do a small interior bathroom & will get them back soon to do our master bathroom. It turns out Shea Homes originally finished our bathrooms in 'Flat Paint' instead of 'Satin/Eggshell'. And that is a 'no-no' in the professional paint business because 'Flat' paint does a horrible job of resisting the moisture that bathroom walls are exposed to under normal use. We had 'peeling' & other paint damage in the smaller bathroom. And we wanted all of this corrected before we had issues of moisture inside the bathroom's walls. Saguaro Valley Painting corrected this by using an initial heavy coat of primer, followed by two coats of Interior Satin/Eggshell Paint. What a difference! So check if your Shea Homes bathroom is painted with the proper 'Satin/Eggshell' paint that truly protects your wall from moisture!"
